Rise International School Erbil (RISE) was founded in 2017 under the name Ronaki International School Erbil, authorized by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Ministry of Education through Ministerial Order No. 4083. The school was established with the vision of delivering internationally benchmarked education within the Kurdistan Region, combining global academic standards with strong local values.

In 2023, following a period of strategic planning and institutional restructuring, the school was officially renamed Rise International School Erbil through Ministerial Order No. 4946. This rebranding reflected a renewed commitment to excellence, innovation, and global engagement.

RISE is located in Future City Villas, Masif Road, 44001, Erbil, Iraq, and continues to operate from its original purpose-built campus. The school operates under the Ronaki Hawler Education Company, a joint venture between Stirling Schools Iraq and Khoshnaw Group, and is one of ten educational institutions within this educational network.

Since its establishment, RISE has remained dedicated to fostering academic rigor, cultural awareness, leadership, and international-mindedness among its students.
